Rare and possibly unique gents Patek Philippe Ref# 3970EG third generation Perpetual Calendar Chronograph with 2nd generation characteristics, a “2.5 generation” iteration. 18k white gold, with large side lug hallmarks, pointed hour markers, straight hands, yellow stars and moon, and a serif font for day and month. On original reptile strap with 18k white gold deployant buckle, sapphire screw down caseback with additional solid caseback. Case diameter is 36 mm. Manually wound movement, chronograph functions, 30 minute counter, perpetual calendar, day, date, month, sub seconds, 24hr display and leap years. Silver dial with day, date, month, leap year, moon phases with am/pm indicator and sub-seconds. Box and undated papers along with the extract from the archive showing manufacture in 1993 and sale in April of 1993. Impeccable condition.
