Gents Patek Philippe Complicated watch in 18K yellow gold, Ref#3940J. On original reptile strap with 18K yellow gold deployant buckle, sapphire display caseback and additional solid 18k yellow gold caseback, case diameter 36 mm. Self winding movement with perpetual calendar and moon phases, day, date, month, leap year and am/pm indicators. Rare dore dial monocolored day/night indicator; stick hour markers. Winding box, pusher and papers dated May 2002. Mint, unpolished condition. This unusual example left the factory with a silver dial. Patek Philippe, at the request of the previous owner changed the dial to the rare and desirable ‘dore’ color. Service document from Patek Geneva indicating the dial change accompanies the watch. This dial is typically found on watches produced for Beyer, in 1985 of which a limited series of twenty five pieces were produced.
